ABOUT ME

My name is Jenny Maskalchi, and I am an Interior Designer and Colour Expert from Sweden.
Me and my family moved to Modiin in 2018 and we just love it! The culture, sun, the sea, blue sky, PALMTREES and the people. New places to get inspired from, new materials, new designs, and priorities - completely mixed around!  

In the design “world” we talk about inspiration a lot. Obviously, Scandinavian design made a strong impact on me growing up, why I love bringing clean lines, light colours, and functionality to my design. My time New York, many years in the fashion industry and many travels are my source of inspiration when clients want a more eclectic style. With that said, I love to combine my interest in art, shapes, and functionality in my design. I love to play with colours, lights, and texture to make your home stylish, worm and inviting. I can change the floors to something unexpected, a wall to something bold, mix and match fabrics or to add a surprise element in the design. No design is the same, but I do believe that my background makes a big part in my design. 

I believe my interest for Interior Design started when I was around 10-11 years old. I remember sitting in my girl room with the IKEA catalogue in one hand and my sketchbook in my other, replanning repeatedly and going through the budget (that I did not have money for, but it interested me). After studies in New York and starting to make money in marketing. I spent all my money on travelling, art, and interior design. This was my passion and interest and still is today. It does not have to be expensive to be the most beautiful. Finding things in the flea market or second hand online has often proved to be my best investment and treasure. I love to find an object with a unique shape that I can remake and integrate in my design. This way the design is unique and does not look like everything else.
